Our mainsail design has been refined over many years and has achieved multiple national and international titles. It is available in Contender RSQ 4.55 or RSQ 4.05 cloth options.
RSQ 4.05 is the lighter-weight version, ideal as a championship specification sail or for sailors who predominantly race in lighter conditions.
RSQ 4.55 offers enhanced durability with slightly greater weight, making it an excellent choice for a wider wind range while maintaining a stable and long-lasting shape.
Each sail features radial clew and head patches to reduce distortion, an easily adjustable lens foot, and a friction-free nylon clew slider for smooth and precise sail shape control when paired with an efficient outhaul system. The result is a highly versatile sail, particularly noticeable in improved off-wind performance.
Available in Flat and Full options to suit your preferred setup and sailing style:
Flat for crews under 155kg
Full for crews over 155kg
The sail is supplied complete with hydraulically pressed head and clew eyelets, class insignia, racing numbers (specify at checkout), glass battens, telltales, and a long sail bag.
