The P&B Scorpion - Championship-Winning. Race-Ready.

The P&B Scorpion is built by Winder and fitted out in-house to a specification that has taken the majority of national and inland championships over the past decade. With a number of experienced Scorpion sailors in the P&B stable, our class expertise is second to none.

The Scorpion is a lightweight, high-performance two-person racing dinghy. At just 81kg, its 14ft hard chine hull gives excellent acceleration and is easy to handle ashore, while its adjustable rig makes it competitive in all conditions for crews of all weights.

The Fit-Out

Every control line is led to the place of easiest use — a refinement developed through years of active class campaigning. The Championship specification includes:

•  Allen and Harken fittings throughout, selected for each application
•  Performance-matched rope on every control line
•  Carbon twin pole launching system with lazy guy
•  Kicker integrated into the raking system for a true one-string setup
•  Cunningham accessible from both sides
•  Fully adjustable jib sheeting and 2ft+ of on-water rake adjustment
•  Winder centreboard and fixed rudder with alloy tiller extension
•  Super Spars or Seldén mast and boom — chosen to suit your crew weight
•  Full suit of P&B Championship sails, measured and numbered
•  Flat breathable top cover and combination launching trolley with astroturf cradles

Every boat leaves our warehouse fully measured, tuned and calibrated to proven fast settings, complete with a comprehensive tuning guide. And our support doesn't stop there — we actively race the Scorpion and are on hand at open events throughout the year.
