Women’s Wetsuits
Quality is at the forefront of everything we do at Pinnell & Bax, and our collection of women’s wetsuits is no exception. We stock top-of-the-range wetsuits from leading brands like Gill, Musto and Zhik to ensure you stay warm and comfortable while braving the elements. Shop our 4 mm women’s wetsuits to protect yourself from winter waters, or choose 3 mm for a reliable all-rounder wetsuit.. The development in sailing technology has meant the quality of wetsuits has never been better, the Gill skiff suit, for example, expands to 6 mm thickness in the chest area when layered with a top. This provides flexibility to move while keeping you warm.
Getting the right wetsuit is important. Ensure you’re ready to enter the waters confidently and stay warm by choosing a wetsuit that fits you and allows you to stay comfortable in testing conditions. It can be difficult to know how exactly a wetsuit should feel when you first try one on, so follow our brief guide to guarantee the perfect fit.
How a woman’s wetsuit should fit
Wetsuits should feel comfortable but skintight. While that word can often be negative for clothing, it’s much the opposite for wetsuits. Tight can often be mistaken for uncomfortable; a wetsuit should wrap around your skin and almost feel like an extension of it rather than something pressing against it. There should be a complete lack of loose or baggy areas when wearing a wetsuit, as this can create more space for water to gather.
The neoprene should rest comfortably against your body with tightness, allowing appropriate insulation to warm the minimal water that does seep through. Excess water will be too much for your body to heat up effectively, so you will quickly feel the cold.
