The Allen A2026MHL is a compact 20 mm cheek block with a stainless-steel high-load sheave, designed for higher-load applications where small-diameter rope or wire needs to be led around a deck or into a cleat. Its dynamic bearing system provides smooth, low-friction running and improved load capacity.
The Allen A2026MHL 20mm Single Composite Cheek Block with High Load Sheave is a compact, high-performance block for routing control lines along a flat surface, around corners or into a cleat.
The block combines a composite cheek block body with a stainless-steel sheave, giving it higher working loads and lower friction than the standard acetal-sheave version. The stainless-steel sheave also means the block can be used with both rope and wire, making it a versatile option for higher-loaded rigging systems.
Allen's patented dynamic bearing system uses twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings running on a stainless-steel rail. This is designed to provide smooth operation, high load-carrying ability and long service life.
The cheek block is designed to be fixed directly to a flat surface, making it particularly useful for leading lines along a deck, into a cleat or around corners. It is secured using two screws, with one passing through the centre of the sheave and the other through the countersunk hole in the head of the block.
With a 250 kg maximum working load, 540 kg breaking load and an 18 mm fixing-hole centre spacing, the A2026MHL is well suited to higher-load control applications on dinghies, windsurfers, kitesurfing equipment and other systems using smaller-diameter lines.
