Seldén Cadet Mast 2420

The Seldén Cadet Complete Mast in 2420 section is the lightest and smallest aluminium section in the Seldén range, locally reinforced for extra strength in high-load areas while keeping overall weight to a minimum. It carries an outstanding championship record and is supplied complete, ready to win off-the-shelf. Built from 6082T6 aluminium with CNC plasma cut tapers, heat-treated after tapering for increased hardness.

The Seldén Cadet Complete Mast uses the 2420 section – the lightest and smallest aluminium section in the entire Seldén range – making it the natural choice for the Cadet class. The tube is locally reinforced for extra strength where needed, keeping overall weight to a minimum without compromising structural integrity. It carries an outstanding championship record and is supplied complete, ready to win off-the-shelf.

Built to the same exacting standards as every Seldén dinghy mast, the 2420 section delivers the best stiffness-to-weight ratio available in an alloy extrusion. Material, section shape, size and wall thickness are all carefully considered and checked on every piece of spar tube produced.

Made from 6082T6 aluminium with CNC plasma cut tapers for ultimate accuracy and consistency. Each mast is heat-treated after tapering to increase material hardness, with a durable peened finish and welded-in headbox. An optional dealer-fit halyard lock is available.

Fittings include ball bearing spinnaker halyard and pole lift boxes, gooseneck with stainless steel spigot and positive lock, and an integrated take-off for a rig tension system.
