The Allen A20401H is a lightweight, high-performance 40 mm single dynamic block with a 360° swivelling hook. Designed for dinghies and keelboats, it uses Allen's dynamic bearing system with twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings for smooth operation and high load capacity.
The Allen A20401H 40mm Dynamic Single Block with Hook is a high-performance block designed for demanding mainsheet, jib sheet, spinnaker sheet and keelboat control-line applications.
Constructed from high-strength, lightweight glass-loaded nylon, the block uses Allen's patented dynamic bearing technology. Twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings run on a stainless-steel rail, with the bearings caged to reduce friction and provide smooth, efficient running under load. Allen states that this bearing arrangement offers greater load-carrying ability and longevity than other bearing systems.
The 360° swivelling hook allows the block to be attached and removed quickly, making it particularly useful for lightweight control systems where easy removal is important. The 40 mm range also features a large central hole that can be used as a becket or tying-off point.
The A20401H has a 10 mm maximum line diameter, a 540 kg breaking load and a 250 kg maximum working load. It measures 73 mm in length and weighs 58 g.
