Seldén Top Swivel 20s with Guide

The Seldén Furlex 20S Top Swivel with Guide is a ball-bearing top swivel designed for dinghy jib furling systems. 4mm stainless ball bearings minimise friction and prevent the halyard from twisting rather than the swivel rotating. The integrated guide keeps the forestay clear of the jib luff – eliminating the common problem of the two becoming twisted together during furling.

The Seldén Furlex 20S Top Swivel is a key component in dinghy jib furling systems – and one where bearing quality matters more than many sailors realise. If the top swivel has too much friction, the halyard twists rather than the swivel rotating, which creates a tangled, difficult-to-furl jib. The 4mm stainless ball bearings in this swivel minimise friction under load, ensuring the sail furls cleanly every time.

This version is supplied with a top swivel guide – a practical addition that physically separates the jib from the forestay during furling. Without it, the forestay can become twisted with the jib luff, particularly on boats that are regularly furled and unfurled. The guide eliminates that problem without any additional setup.
