Seldén Optimist Pro Sprit

The Optimist Pro Sprit is a super stiff, ultra-light 28mm alloy sprit designed to deliver the rigidity needed for effective de-powering in gusts. Constructed from 7075 T9 alloy, hard anodised and cold drawn for accuracy. Thinner wall reduces weight without compromising stiffness.

The Optimist Pro Sprit is built around one principle: stiffness where it matters. On-water and static testing has shown that the Optimist sprit needs to be stiff, with the mast and boom delivering the bend and gust response required to de-power the rig effectively. This sprit does exactly that.

The 28mm tube provides extra rigidity, while the thinner wall keeps weight to a minimum. Constructed from 7075 T9 alloy, hard anodised and cold drawn for dimensional accuracy throughout.
