Seldén British Moth Lambda Mast

The Seldén British Moth Complete Mast in Lambda section is the most flexible and lightest aerofoil mast section in the Seldén range, making it ideally suited to the British Moth class. Built from 6082T6 aluminium with CNC plasma cut tapers, heat-treated after tapering for increased hardness. Supplied complete and ready to be customised and rigged by the P&B workshop team.

The Seldén British Moth Lambda is the most flexible and lightest aerofoil mast section in the Seldén range – designed specifically for the British Moth class where a responsive, easily-bending spar delivers the best performance.

Built to the same exacting standards as every Seldén dinghy mast, the Lambda section is designed to deliver the best stiffness-to-weight ratio available in an alloy extrusion. Material, section shape, size and wall thickness are all carefully considered and checked on every piece of spar tube produced.

Made from 6082T6 aluminium with CNC plasma cut tapers for ultimate accuracy and consistency. Each mast is heat-treated after tapering to increase material hardness, with a durable peened finish and welded-in headbox. An optional dealer-fit halyard lock is available.

Fittings include ball bearing spinnaker halyard and pole lift boxes, a fully adjustable spreader system with vernier length adjusters, gooseneck with stainless steel spigot and positive lock, and an integrated take-off for a rig tension system. Automatic release of outhaul and boom squares further downwind. Optional extended gooseneck available.

Supplied complete and ready to be customised and rigged to your exact specification by the skilled P&B workshop team.
