POSITION: Data Admin Assistant

As Data Admin Assistant you will be the person we rely on to keep our product, customer and order databases in check.

With your advanced Excel skills you'll extract, cleanse, update and maintain our product data, making sure we're up to date with supplier pricelists while keeping in line with competitor pricing - as well as preparing NPI. You'll also be be troubleshooting data synching between systems, liaising with our third party providers to resolve issues and working with the P&B Team to implement changes on our website.

As part of the Mail Order Team you'll also be on hand to cover the phones during busy times and check on customer orders, offering assistance where necessary.

About you:

  • You'll ideally have experience in a similar role with strong IT knowledge and administrative skills.
  • Proactive and energetic, organised and thorough, ensuring tasks are followed up and completed accurately and on time.
  • Confident in Microsoft Office applications and business IT systems.
  • Flexible and able to work as part of a larger team.
  • If you've a passion for sailing and adventures in the great outdoors then even better.

Salary: £18,000-24,000 Dependent on hours / experience.


Bring your customer service skills to the team.

As P&B's Customer Service Advisor your tasks will include a combination of the following tasks:

  • Answering customer enquiries, by phone or email, or passing them on to the appropriate department.
  • Giving information and helping to solve customer problems.
  • Selling products and taking orders by phone and email.
  • Preparing customer orders for postage and collection.
  • Assisting customers with enquiries in store and taking payment.
  • Processing complaints, queries and, if required, issuing refunds.
  • Taking information from customers and entering it accurately into a database.
  • Taking payments by cash, cheque or credit card.

As you'll often be the first point of contact for our customers it's essential for you to create a good impression and make sure their experience is a positive one. You'll need to be polite and approachable, confident and have the ability to remain patient in difficult situations.

Problem-solving skills and having the ability to think quickly, follow instructions, work as a team and work on your own initiative are also very desirable skills.

A knowledge of sailing or a passion for watersports would be a big advantage but your enthusiasm and skill as a customer-facing team member are our number one priority!

Bring your skills and passion to our Boat Fitting + Repairs Team and create championship-winning dinghies for delivery across the globe.

As a P&B Boat Fitter you will be responsible for fitting-out and rigging a range of dinghies: from simple training boats to technical race-prepared dinghies.  

We’re searching for a candidate who has the technical excellence and self-motivation to deliver work of the highest quality.

Boat repairs from light dents and scratches to substantial repair work move through our workshop, therefore an understanding of repairing gelcoat will be helpful.

An interest in sailing or understanding of sailors’ requirements would be a strong advantage. However, experience, although beneficial, is not essential as the position will include all the hands-on training you’ll need.

Usual working hours are 8.30am-5pm, with overtime available, part time applications considered.

Experienced machinist and pattern cutter required to join our sail and cover production team

Are you looking for your next machining role? We've got a full or part time opportunity for an experienced machinist / pattern cutter to work in our busy sail loft alongside our other skilled machinists and sail makers.

Loft business is booming and we need someone with experience in industrial pattern cutting and sewing to help produce our championship-winning sails, boat covers and accessories.

P&B is renowned for it's performance sails and high-quality covers, so we're after someone who can consistently produce top-notch products while ensuring items are finished in time and to the high standard our customers expect.

Reliability is key, as well as the ability to work well under your own steam in a fast-paced environment.
