The popular tidal atlas Solent Tides,
compiled by Peter Bruce, was a tremendous improvement upon Solent tidal
stream information available up until this book was published in 1993,
and became a standard work of the Solent.
The new version called Solent & Island Tidal
Streams includes the south side of the Isle of Wight, from the Shingles
Bank to Selsey Bill, using data supplied by the Marine Research
department of ABP Southampton.
It is printed on durable plastic waterproof
paper that is not only impermeable but is almost impossible to tear.
