P&B history
Our long heritage began when Alan Bax and Ian Pinnell became partners in 1985.
They moved to Northampton in 1986, and very soon sailmaking and Pinnell &
Bax - P&B to its friends - became firmly established in Talbot Road.
Success brings its own challenges. By 1997 P&B had developed into a
thriving, full-service sailing business. Talbot Road had been outgrown. That
year we moved the operation into purpose built premises in Kings Heath,
Northampton, where a new loft, larger shop space and workshop would meet the
needs of our ever growing customer base.
Two years later, in 1999, we had to expand further, creating 50% more space to fulfill
customer orders from around the world, to accommodate fully-rigged boat
preparation and to provide a new repair shop.
Throughout this development, our philosophy that we sail for you to succeed has
remained our commitment to our customers.
A Global Operation
Today P&B is a global operation, supplying customers and mounting campaigns
around the world; from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to the Far East and
Australasia, and across the Atlantic to North America.
P&B staff are respected for their sailing successes, recognised for their
technical knowledge and renowned for their service. When you buy from us we
stay with you. That's our commitment too - after-sales care, technical advice,
the attainment of boatspeed.
P&B Staff Team - Using our Expertise to your
